Smarter, Faster Drafting & Detailing

TurboCAD 18 introduces a number of new and improved features specifically designed to save you money by allowing you to work smarter and faster.

NEW PDF Underlay lets you import raster PDFs and use it as tracing layers with snaps. The PDF format became the de facto standard for interchange of graphical and printed information, supporting all kinds of platforms from the iPhone, iPad, Windows PCs, Macs and Linux PCs. This new feature in TurboCAD 18 Pro allows you to open a PDF file as a background and trace geometry on top of it. Once the CAD geometry is in place it is easy to scale the objects to their real world sizes.

NEW Purge Tool makes it a piece of cake to remove unused objects from Model Space and Paper Space. No longer do you have to manually search for unused objects, TurboCAD PRO does it automatically.

NEW Ray Tool creates rays on the construction line layer to more clearly define your construction geometry. Construction lines are also now editable and can be converted into rays.

NEW Copy in Place tool works on all 2D and 3D objects. This feature has been one of the most asked for improvements by the beta team.

ENHANCED Layers are more AutoCAD® compatible, including a new layers dialog based on ‘Design Center’. Plus, improved ability to turn on/off layers per viewport. The enhancements in layers are also available for TurboCAD Deluxe

Improved. The distinction between 'Surface' and 'ACIS Body' objects has been removed to simplify operation. The Drafting Palette properties window now has a new check box 'Lock When Inactive' that adds the ability to disable updates of drafting objects when Drafting Palette is not visible on screen. On complex models this feature enhances the user experience since derived objects in the drafting palette are not recalculated after each step.

IMPROVED Fillet(2D)Tool. The new tool has the ability to fillet bulges (polylines comprised of line and arc segments) as well as re-filleting previously filleted segments. It reduces the number of steps required to change existing fillets. This tools is also available in TurboCAD Deluxe.

IMPROVED Mirror Tool. Text or multi line text can now be mirrored. Block attributes work with Mirror tool in the same fashion as AutoCAD where the you have control over which attributes should not be mirrored. This feature is also available in TurboCAD Deluxe.

IMPROVED Measurement Tool. This tool now shows a history of previous measurements. It is also available in TurboCAD Deluxe.

IMPROVED Text Tool allows the "Enter: key to have text wrap to the next line and you can pick the position on the screen to start a new line. This improvement is also available in TurboCAD Deluxe.

IMPROVED Stretch Tool has an improved rubber banding preview, making it precise control of stretch objects easier. The Trim Tool now works with Multi lines. These tools are also available in TurboCAD Deluxe.
